Indigo Static (2025–) is a sequence of thirty-two photographs across New York, London, and Tokyo. The work treats the city not as narrative but as condition, formed by repetition, alignment, and regulation.
In each city, the system operates through structurally distinct mechanisms: externalized in New York, stratified in London, internalized in Tokyo. Together they form a single trajectory, in which the place of operation moves from outside to above, and from above to inside. Architectural and institutional structures remain persistent, while urban systems gradually regulate and reduce human presence.
A single indigo tone runs through the whole sequence as method rather than style. It suppresses warmth, suspends affective response, and exposes the structural logic beneath each city's surface.
